Al-Ahly and Zamalek fans made a remarkable appearance in the second round of the 2026-2027 season of the Egyptian Premier League, which saw victories for both giants.
Zamalek secured their first win in the new league season by defeating National Bank of Egypt 3-0 in a match held at Cairo International Stadium.
Zamalek supporters were keen on supporting the players with chants like "Zamalek Regala," alongside their usual slogan "Sami'na ya 'amm el-hadouta," a famous chant among fans of the "White Castle."
Meanwhile, Al-Ahly, led by Moroccan coach Hussein Amotta, achieved their second consecutive victory, this time against ZED FC with a 2-0 scoreline.
In the first round, Al-Ahly had defeated Sharqia ENPPI 3-2, allowing the "Red Team" to secure full points totaling six.
Before the match, Al-Ahly fans made sure to honor team player Imam Ashour, who extended his contract with the "Red Castle" until summer 2030.
Imam Ashour, 28 years old, was originally set to end his contract with Al-Ahly in summer 2028 before the club's management extended it for two additional seasons.
Additionally, for the second consecutive match, Al-Ahly fans chanted a special slogan targeting Brazilian player Juan Becerra of Zamalek, mocking his absence from the White Team.
Becerra has been absent from Zamalek since the start of the team's pre-season training camp for the new season, missing the first two league matches as well.
Becerra's absence stems from his objection to the management of the "White Castle," chaired by Hussein Labib, for not permitting his transfer to UAE club Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai.
