The first team of Al Ahly Club is preparing to play a new friendly match during its preparations for the start of the new 2026-2027 season competitions.
Al Ahly Club faces the Spanish team Europa at seven in the evening today, Friday, at Seve Bosque de Tusca Stadium in a friendly match in preparation for the new season competitions.
It is scheduled that today's match will be held behind closed doors, meaning without a crowd, and it will not be broadcast on any television channel, whether local or Spanish, after coordination between the two clubs.
Today's match is the second for Al Ahly in its external camp, as it had previously defeated Badalona team, active in the Spanish fifth division league, with three goals to nil at the same stadium.
Al Ahly's victory over Badalona witnessed a clear field superiority for the team, and the Red's hat-trick was scored by Ali Mahmoud, Aktay Abdullah, and Ahmed Mustafa Zizo, while the Moroccan, Sofiane Benjdida, missed a penalty kick.
In general, today's match will be the fifth for Al Ahly during the preparation period for the new season, as the Red had previously, during its camp in Cairo, won against Al Nasr Sports with five goals to one, against La Vina with seven goals to one, and against Petrol Asyut with two goals to nil.
The Al Ahly technical staff, led by Hussein Ammouta, seeks through the friendly matches to settle on the basic formation and bring the players to the highest levels of technical and physical readiness, and prepare all players before the start of the official competitions for the new season.
It is scheduled that Al Ahly Club will conclude its external camp by facing the Spanish Barcelona on August 19 at Camp Nou Stadium for the Joan Gamper Cup friendly tournament.
It is worth noting that Al Ahly will play its first official match in the new season against Sharkia Enppi on August 23 at Cairo Stadium for the first round of the Premier League.
