A source told Yalla Koura: "There is a convergence of views between Al-Ahly and Qatar's Al-Shamal regarding the sale of Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane".
The source added: "The coming hours may witness new developments regarding Al-Ahly's sale of Ben Romdhane".
Al-Ahly had postponed its negotiations with Qatar's Al-Shamal due to Hussein Ammouta's desire to see Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane during the team's training sessions in the past period.
Qatar's Al-Shamal's desire to sign Mohamed Ben Romdhane appears clearly, coinciding with Al-Ahly's efforts to rearrange its affairs by resolving several files, most notably arrivals and departures from its squad, in preparation for the next season.
Ben Romdhane participated in 36 matches with Al-Ahly across various tournaments and competitions, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
Ben Romdhane joined Al-Ahly at the start of last season, coming from the Hungarian club Ferencvaros.
