Al Ahly clarifies the date for announcing the new deals and the preparation camp

Wael Gomaa, the director of football at Al Ahly, spoke about the date for announcing the team's new signings, in addition to the team's preparation camp before the start of the next season 2026-2027.

Al Ahly presented Hussein Amouta as the team's technical director, in addition to Wael Gomaa who will serve as director of football alongside the Moroccan coach.

In response to a question about the date for announcing the team's new signings, Wael Gomaa said during the press conference: "Captain Hussein is still in the stage of getting to know the players".

He continued: "There are international players participating in the World Cup, and we have some time and flexibility to settle on the players available to join us in the coming period".

Gomaa then moved on to discuss the team's preparation period ahead of the next season, which is expected to take place at the end of this July.

He added: "The camp is in the arrangements phase between the football company, the technical and administrative staff, and settling on the camp is underway and will be at the end of the month. It is confirmed that there will be a camp, and the final details will be announced once everything is confirmed".

Moroccan Hussein Amouta assumed the position of technical director at Al Ahly for two seasons and is considered the first Arab to coach Al Ahly and the second African after South African Pitso Mosimane.
