Saudi Al-Ahli Club announced the signing of the Portuguese player Francisco Trincão, star of Sporting Lisbon team, during the summer transfer period, with a contract for 4 seasons.
The Saudi club said in an official statement: "Al-Ahli Club announced the completion of its contract with the Portuguese Francisco Trincão, coming from Sporting Lisbon, with a contract extending for four seasons, in a step that reflects the administration's direction towards strengthening the ranks of the first football team with elements that possess quality and experience, and align with the technical project that aims to compete in all championships during the upcoming stage".
And he continued: "This contract reflects the club's confidence in Trincão's European experience, and being a winger player with multiple roles capable of playing in several offensive positions, and possessing high technical abilities and a decisive personality inside the field, which are factors expected to add great value to the team. Al-Ahli also wished Trincão all the best, expressing its confidence that he will be one of the pillars that will contribute to achieving the fans' aspirations".
Trincão said in statements to the official Al-Ahli Jeddah club website: "I feel great pride in joining Al-Ahli, and I realize the value of this club and its history and popularity. What I saw of Al-Ahli fans' passion was one of the most prominent reasons that encouraged me to embark on this experience, and I promise everyone that I will fight with my colleagues to achieve achievements and please the fans".
Francisco's career is filled with distinguished professional stations in European stadiums, where he represented the clubs Sporting Lisbon, Barcelona, Wolverhampton, and Sporting Braga, and during his career, he played 327 official matches, scoring 62 goals in them, in addition to making 57 goals.
