Saudi club Al-Ahli Jeddah is close to signing Ibrahim Diaby, a player for Belgian club Cercle Brugge.
According to the French newspaper L'Équipe, the 19-year-old Diaby is already in Saudi Arabia undergoing medical examinations prior to finalizing his transfer to Al-Ahli, with plans to sign a four-year contract including an option for an additional season.
The report clarified that the deal will cost Al-Ahli Jeddah 13.5 million euros, including bonuses.
Diaby, who progressed through the Paris Saint-Germain academy, left the French club last season to join Cercle Brugge to launch his professional career, before now nearing a new experience in the Saudi league.
In recent hours, Al-Ahli also moved to sign 19-year-old Montenegrin midfielder Andrea Bulatović; negotiations with French club Lens reached an advanced stage, but the deal is not expected to be completed.
Meanwhile, French player Bab Cabral will remain with Monaco for the current season, after his potential transfer to Al-Ahli had been under consideration recently.
