Al-Ahli Jeddah advanced to the Intercontinental Cup quarter-finals after overcoming Auckland FC.
In the Intercontinental Cup quarter-finals, Al-Ahli Jeddah will face South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, the African champions.
Al-Ahli Jeddah reached the quarter-finals for the second consecutive time, having participated in last season's edition of the tournament where they were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Pyramids FC.
The match between Al-Ahli Jeddah and Auckland FC was officiated by an Egyptian refereeing team led by Amin Omar. He was assisted by Mahmoud Abu Al-Rejal as the first assistant referee and Ahmed Hossam Taha as the second assistant referee. Mahmoud Naji served as the fourth official, while Mahmoud Ashour acted as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), assisted by Tarek Magdy.
