Al-Ahli Jeddah beats Al-Riyadh 5-0 in the Saudi League

Al-Ahli Jeddah secured a decisive 5-0 victory over Al-Riyadh in a match held on Friday evening, as part of the fifth round of the Saudi Professional League, "Roshn League," for the current 2026-2027 season.

The match was marked by the absence of Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet from Al-Riyadh's squad, as coach Marcelo Delgado omitted him from both the starting lineup and the bench.

English striker Ivan Toney opened the scoring for Al-Ahli Jeddah in the 16th minute, before Edward Spertsian added the second goal in the 43rd minute.

The third goal followed swiftly, as Trincao found the back of Al-Riyadh's net in the 45th minute, allowing Al-Ahli Jeddah to end the first half with a clean-sheet lead of three goals.

In the second half, Ivan Toney scored again, netting his team's fourth goal and his personal second of the match in the 61st minute.

Naif Masoud completed Al-Ahli's five-goal haul against Al-Riyadh in the 87th minute of the encounter.

With this win, Al-Ahli Jeddah raised their points total to 9, securing their third victory in the Saudi league, while suffering two defeats against Al-Hilal and Al-Khlood.

Conversely, Al-Riyadh's points total remained at 4, earned from one win and one draw, alongside three losses in the first five rounds of the competition.
