Al-Ahly's first football team drew 0-0 with Team FC in a friendly match held today, Friday, at the Mokhtar El-Tetsh Stadium in Gezira.
Al-Ahly aims to utilize these friendly matches to prepare all players, including substitutes and those returning from injuries, while assessing their technical and physical readiness for official competitions.
Following the friendly against Team FC, Wael Gomaa, Al-Ahly's football director, confirmed that the coaching staff gained valuable technical benefits by preparing as many players as possible who did not participate in yesterday's league match against Smouha, as part of preparations for the upcoming game against Arab Contractors.
Team FC competes in the Professional League and is coached by Mohamed Salah.
Yesterday, Al-Ahly defeated Smouha 1-0 thanks to a goal scored by Yasser Ibrahim in the third round of the Premier League.
The Red Devils are now preparing to face Arab Contractors next Wednesday in the fourth round of the league.
Al-Ahly has achieved three consecutive league victories against Sharqia Enppi (3-2), ZED (2-0), and Smouha (1-0).
