Ahmed Suleiman, a board member of Zamalek Club, revealed the truth behind rumors suggesting that Mahmoud Bentayk, a Zamalek player, might represent the Egyptian national team in the near future.

In recent days, reports circulated claiming that Bentayk wishes to play for Egypt instead of Morocco, based on statements made by the player's agent to Moroccan newspapers.

Suleiman stated in an interview on MBC Masr channel: "The possibility of Mahmoud Bentayk joining the Egyptian national team was never raised; it is merely a circulating rumor."

He concluded: "Bentayk traveled yesterday with his family, and just two days ago he was at the passport office obtaining travel permission. Some claimed he was applying for citizenship, but this is entirely false. His agent fabricated this story, especially since Bentayk has already played for the Moroccan national team in the Arab Cup."
