Ahmed Suleiman, a member of the Zamalek Club Board of Directors, revealed for the first time the secret of his withdrawal from the Board of Directors meeting, which was held on the ninth of this July.
Ahmed Suleiman had withdrawn from the Zamalek meeting, which sparked widespread controversy, especially in light of the financial crises and files that the club is working to conclude as quickly as possible.
Suleiman was asked about the reason for his withdrawal from the Zamalek Board of Directors meeting, and he said in statements via "MBC Egypt" channel: "I like to discuss these matters within the Board of Directors, and I see that the media (has exaggerated the matter to some extent), there are matters in which I did not feel psychological comfort so I withdrew".
He added: "What happened is a normal matter, there was a session and I withdrew from it and this is something possible, and I informed the Board of Directors about my position and my objection to some matters".
He continued: "As a member, I received the highest votes in the elections, and in the end I am held accountable, and after 4 years you will find people holding me responsible and holding me accountable for it, and everything I prove in the Board of Directors meeting as a form of objection".
Zamalek had been crowned with the Premier League title in the past season after a fierce struggle with Pyramids and Al-Ahly.
