Ahmed Suleiman, a member of Zamalek Club's board of directors, has settled the controversy surrounding the return of Brazilian player Juan Alfena Bezerra to the White Castle.
Suleiman stated in remarks to the "Al-La'eb" program on MBC Masr channel, responding to the question: "Will Bezerra return to Zamalek?": "This is a somewhat sensitive issue because there are legal and administrative aspects, but Zamalek's position is very respectable and strong."
He added: " Zamalek will teach a lesson to all clubs regarding players who may feign illness against their clubs and fail to honor their contracts. We have suffered due to non-compliance with our contracts and were penalized."
He further stated: "Zamalek Club has learned its lesson. Past lessons involving foreign players and high-level administrative and financial commitments are now managed by legal specialists alongside the board of directors."
In response to the question: "Will Bezerra play or leave Zamalek?", he concluded: "After he returns and negotiates with Zamalek Club's board of directors... the decision belongs to the board, not the player."
