The second day of the opening round of the Egyptian Premier League witnessed the first own goal of the competition, in today's Saturday match between Al-Masry and Smouha.
Al-Masry managed to secure a hard-fought victory over Smouha with a clean goal, within the fixtures of the first round of the Egyptian Premier League for the current 2026-2027 season.
The match's only goal came in favor of Al-Masry Club in the 75th minute of the second half, following an exquisite header by Salah Mohsen that deceived goalkeeper Ahmed Mahgoub.
The ball struck goalkeeper Ahmed Mahgoub's post before hitting the head of the Smouha goalkeeper and settling into the net of the Blue Wave.
Al-Masry, led by Emad El-Nahas, succeeded in claiming their first three points in the Egyptian Premier League for the current season.
Meanwhile, Smouha, under the leadership of Ahmed Abdelaziz, began their Egyptian Premier League campaign with a defeat against the Port Said team.
