Ahmed Jaafar, a former Zamalek player, announced his return to the club through the youth sector after being appointed to a new position.
Jaafar confirmed in a post on his official Facebook account that he has been appointed as the technical director of the club's youth sector.
He said: "Returning to the big home, serving as the technical director of Zamalek's youth sector is a huge responsibility. May God enable and honor us so we can serve our home wherever it requires from us."
He added: "With God's will, we will rise to this responsibility and ensure that this year's youth players serve the first team, by the will of God Almighty. I would like to thank the board of directors, especially Captain Hussein El-Sayed, the general supervisor of football, and my brother and beloved Captain Hazem Emam for their trust and support. With God's will, we will be able to serve the club and achieve something befitting Zamalek Club."
In another context, Zamalek Club will face AS Port tomorrow, Friday, at 8:00 PM at Cairo International Stadium, in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
Zamalek is scheduled to wear black shirts and black shorts, while the goalkeeper will appear in yellow.
Meanwhile, AS Port will wear red shirts and red shorts, with their goalkeeper appearing in white attire.
This match marks the beginning of both teams' journey in the new edition of the CAF Champions League, as Zamalek seeks to achieve a positive result in the first leg to aid them before the return match.
