A source at Al Ittihad Alexandria Club clarified that Ahmed Hamdy, Zamalek Club's midfielder, signed the contracts for his transfer to the leader of the port.
The contract of the 28-year-old player with the White Castle ended at the end of the previous season.

The source told Yalla Koura: "Ahmed Hamdy held a session with the officials of Al Ittihad Alexandria and Mohamed Salama, the club president, and signed the joining contracts a short while ago".
Mu'tamad Jamal, the technical director of Zamalek Club, had excluded Ahmed Hamdy from participating in the White Castle's matches since his arrival last January.
The midfielder participated in 13 matches with the White Knight in all competitions last season, where he created only two goals.
Ahmed Hamdy joined the ranks of the White Knight in January 2024, coming from American Montreal on a free transfer deal.
The midfielder had won with the White Castle both the Egyptian Premier League 2025-26 and the African Confederation Cup 2023-24.
