Ahmed Hamdy, the Zamalek midfielder, directed an emotional farewell message to the fans of the White Castle, announcing the end of his journey with the club following the expiration of his contract at the end of last season.
Hamdy wrote on his official Instagram account: "Every journey has a beginning, and every beginning has an end, and today my journey with this great entity, Zamalek Club, has ended, but its memories will remain eternal in my heart as long as I live."
The player was keen to express his gratitude to the Zamalek fans, affirming that their support and trust were his greatest support throughout his time with the team, stressing that the club will always hold a special place in his heart.
He clarified that his message is not so much a farewell as it is a message of thanks and appreciation, concluding by saying: "Until we meet again, Zamalek and its fans will always remain in the heart."
A source at Al-Ittihad Alexandria Club revealed that Ahmed Hamdy has signed contracts to join the ranks of the Port's leader, after his contract with Zamalek expired at the end of the previous season.
The source explained to Yalla Koura that the 28-year-old player held a meeting with Al-Ittihad Alexandria officials, headed by Mohamed Salama, before officially signing his joining contracts, in preparation for announcing the deal in the coming period.
