Ahmed Fathy apologized for not joining coach Ahmed Samy's assistant technical staff at Al-Masry Club, without disclosing the reason behind his decision.
The board of directors of Al-Masry Club, chaired by Kamel Abu Ali, had completed the contracting procedures with Ahmed Samy to assume the technical management duties of the first football team until the end of the current season.

A source told "Yalla Kora" that Ahmed Fathy apologized to coach Ahmed Samy for not joining the assistant technical staff at Al-Masry Port Said.
The same source clarified that Fathy apologized to coach Ahmed Samy on Sunday morning, noting that he did not disclose the reasons behind his decision.
The unnamed source indicated that Ahmed Samy informed Al-Masry's board of directors about Fathy's apology, stating that he refused to bring in a replacement and insisted on keeping his current assistant staff.
Coach Ahmed Samy's assistant technical staff at Al-Masry consists of Hossam Abdel Aal and Salah Amin as coaches, and Osama Abdel Karim as the goalkeeping coach.
