Al Ahly Club announced the date of the return of its international players to the team's training sessions in preparation for the new season.
Al Ahly explained that the players who participated with the Egyptian national team in the World Cup will join the training sessions on July 27, following the end of the vacation they received after the end of the tournament.
Seven players from Al Ahly participated with the Egyptian national team in the World Cup: Mohamed El Shenawy, Mustafa Shobier, Mohamed Hany, Emam Ashour, Marwan Attia, Yasser Ibrahim, and Ahmed El Sayed "Zizo".
Youssef Belamri, who participated with the Moroccan national team in the tournament and reached the quarter-finals, will also join.
In contrast, Mahmoud Hassan "Trezeguet" left Al Ahly after the end of the team's campaign in the World Cup.
Al Ahly will play its first friendly match on Thursday, July 23, against Al Nasr Cairo at Mokhtar El Tetsh Stadium.
Al Ahly is scheduled to hold a preparatory camp for the new 2026-2027 season in Spain, and is close to facing Barcelona in a friendly during the camp as part of the Joan Gamper Cup.
Al Ahly had finished last season in third place in the Egyptian League standings behind Zamalek and Pyramids, while winning the Egyptian Super Cup title.
