Kylian Mbappé, captain of the French national team, joined his Spanish club Real Madrid's training today, Monday, after a three-week vacation he received following his participation with his country's national team in the 2026 World Cup.
Mbappé joined Real Madrid's training accompanied by his compatriot Ibrahima Konaté and the Spanish full-back Marc Cucurella, the 2026 World Cup champion and new signings to the Royal Club.
The trio underwent medical examinations before participating in their first training session on Monday morning under the supervision of Portuguese coach José Mourinho, the new manager.
The French striker posted video clips on his Instagram account of his return to training, accompanied by his compatriot Sébastien Dufour, the physical trainer of the Madrid team.
The other French player Aurélien Tchouaméni and the English player Jude Bellingham, who also participated in the World Cup, are expected to join training later today.
Real Madrid is preparing to play three preparatory matches in the coming days, before starting its Spanish League campaign away to Espanyol on August 22.
