Media personality Ahmed Shobir commented on the widespread debate surrounding the future of Zamalek player Juan Alvin Beira, criticizing the fans' attachment to the player's return and affirming that the White Fortress is greater than any player, regardless of their technical value.
Shobir said in a statement via his radio program: "Yesterday, Beira, whom no one knew before joining Zamalek, made statements in a 30-minute live broadcast, and the fans pleaded with him to return to the team, but the player responded by saying: I will not return."
Shobir continued: "(If God wills, you didn't come back) What is the problem with that? Zamalek will not stand on you, but what is this strange state of begging? We say words we do not believe. Some say Zamalek is more important than Beira, and then they demand the player's return in this manner."

He added: "So, what if Beira returns? How will he be received? Will the fans wait for him at the airport? And how will he train with the team? It is very strange and bizarre."
He continued: "What is the problem when I say that Zamalek will not stand on Beira, nor even on a title, even if the result is that Zamalek loses a title, what is the problem with that? But for a player to control the club to this extent, and control the emotions of the fans who plead with him to return, and then respond to them by saying I will not return.. (If God wills, you didn't come back)."
He concluded: "Beira was a player no one knew; he was not known in the region until he played for Zamalek. The club and its fans have a favor over him, and I tell the Zamalek fans not to pay him any attention, and the club should deal with him in the manner he deserves."
He finished: "The name Zamalek is greater than Beira. As a Zamalek member, you must know the value of your club. He is a good player and no one denies that, but imagine if the player returned today or tomorrow and is not training, how will he participate with the team in matches?!"
