Al-Ahly club has finalized the signing of Algerian striker Monsef Baqdar during the ongoing 2026 summer mercato, topping the list of the most expensive new deals in the Egyptian Premier League.
Monsef Baqdar signed a three-season contract, becoming the team's fourth deal during the current summer transfer window, arriving from Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.

According to data from the global "Transfermarkt" network, the Red Giant dominated the list of the most expensive deals in summer 2026 with 4 out of 8 successful transfers, particularly occupying first and second place.
