Pyramids faced Gor Mahia at the latter's home ground in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The player was injured in the 19th minute following a head collision.
Maraai was taken to the hospital after the injury to undergo scans.
At the hospital, the player underwent minor surgery, and the wound was treated with 8 stitches on the head.
The first half of the match ended with Pyramids leading by two goals without reply.
