Petrol Asyut Club has obtained the services of a Zamalek Club player, during the current summer transfer period, to strengthen the ranks of the first football team, in the upcoming season, after promotion to the Egyptian Premier League.
Petrol Asyut team had succeeded in returning to the Egyptian League Championship again after an absence of 16 years, following their draw against Mansoura with a goal for each in the Professional League, to become the second qualifier after the Canal team.
Ahmed Magdy, the defender of Zamalek Club, signed for Petrol Asyut for 3 seasons, in a free transfer deal, after the White Castle board of directors, headed by Hussein Labib, decided to dispense with his services.

Ahmed Magdy announced, through his account on the social networking site "Instagram", his departure from Zamalek after 14 years inside the club, after the launch of the White's camp in the New Administrative Capital.
Zamalek team is playing 3 friendly matches, starting with facing the Plastic team next Tuesday, corresponding to August 11, on the condition that it plays its second friendly against the Orange team on Thursday, the 13th, and the third against Modern Sport on the 16th.
