Sharjah Emirati club announced on Sunday the signing of Togolese Laba Kodjo.
This comes after the end of his stint with Al Ain, which lasted 7 years.
The club stated via its social media accounts: "Sharjah signs Togolese Laba Kodjo in a free transfer deal".
The club clarified that the contract will last for two seasons.
On Wednesday, Al Ain Emirati club announced the departure of its Togolese striker Laba Kodjo after 7 years with the team.
The club stated via its website: "A chapter ends, but the memories remain".
It added, "Thank you Laba for everything, and we wish you all the success and good fortune in the future".
Laba Kodjo joined Al Ain in 2019, coming from Moroccan club Nahdat Berkane.
Kodjo - 34 years old - excelled greatly with Al Ain, scoring 164 goals in 205 matches.
He led the team to win the AFC Champions League title in the 2023-2024 season.
He also won the UAE League title twice.
