Zamalek Club's first football team conducted its first training session this Saturday evening at the club's stadium in the New Administrative Capital, as part of the team's camp in preparation for the new season.
The team's technical director, Moataz Jamal, was keen to greet the players and urged them to focus at the start of the preparation period, especially as the team is set to participate in a large number of local and African competitions.
The technical staff focused on increasing the players' physical workload after returning from the rest period the team had following the end of last season and winning the league title.
Zamalek's last gathering was in the match against Ceramica Cleopatra at the conclusion of last season's league.
Zamalek began the preparation period for the new season today, Saturday, with all players set to undergo physical measurements and medical examinations before training starts.
The new Egyptian league season kicks off on August 21, with the draw ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, the 5th of the same month.
