Mohamed Magdy Afsha, an Al-Ahly player, has returned to scoring with the Red Devils after a long absence from participating and netting goals for the team.
Afsha scored the winning goal in the match played by Al-Ahly against Sharqia Enppi, which was the opening game for both teams in the new season of the Egyptian Premier League.
Afsha did not start in the lineup for that match, but he entered the field in the second half and managed to score the third goal and the winner of the encounter.
For the first time in 593 days, Mohamed Magdy Afsha has succeeded in scoring with Al-Ahly Club, as his last goal came during the season before last.
The player failed to score in the few matches he participated in last season, before leaving Al-Ahly on loan to Al-Ittihad Alexandria, only to return again before the start of the new season.
The match against Smouha in the Premier League two seasons ago was the last game in which the player scored with the Red Devils, as that encounter ended with a 2-0 victory for Al-Ahly.
Afsha's goal in today's match against Sharqia Enppi came in the 90th minute of the game, where he capitalized on a magical pass from the Moroccan Sofiane Benjdida, scoring a wonderful goal to grant Al-Ahly the victory and turn the tables on Sharqia Enppi in the final moments of the match.
