Barcelona Club celebrated the first football team's match with Al-Ahly Club in the Joan Gamper Cup final.
Spotify Camp Nou Stadium will host the match between Barcelona and Al-Ahly teams in the Joan Gamper Cup 2026 on Wednesday, August 19 next.
Barcelona Club said through its official website that Al-Ahly Club joins the list of teams playing their first matches in the Joan Gamper Cup, as it is the third season in which the Catalan club plays a match in that tournament.

Barcelona's website described Al-Ahly Club as a stubborn opponent that Flick's men will face during the preparation period for the new 2026/2027 season, noting that Al-Ahly is the giant of Egyptian teams and the most crowned in the history of African football.
He explained that this will be Al-Ahly's first participation in the Joan Gamper Cup, and for the third consecutive season Barcelona will face a new opponent after Como and Monaco.
The website stated that Al-Ahly's presence in this match is considered a historic event in African football as it is the first club from the dark continent to participate in this tournament.
