Adam Mohamed Youssef, Al Ahly player and Egypt national team player for the under-17s, stressed that the national team players have in mind following in the footsteps of the first national team, and repeating the historic achievement it achieved in the 2026 World Cup in the United States of America.
Adam said in statements sent to journalists: "The first Egyptian national team, led by Hossam Hast, presented distinguished levels in the World Cup and succeeded in raising the ambitions of Egyptian football, and was close to the quarter-finals".
He continued, "This achievement gave all age groups a great motivation, the youth team aspires to present a strong tournament in the under-17 World Cup and achieve an achievement to add to the record of Egyptian football".
He concluded, "All the players realize the size of the responsibility placed on their shoulders and continue to prepare with all strength in order to honor Egyptian football and appear in a manner befitting the name of the Egyptian national team".
The Egyptian youth national team had qualified for the under-17 World Cup after finishing third in the African Nations Youth Cup.
