Haged El-Antably, the doctor of the youth national team under the leadership of Wael Riyad, apologized for not accepting Zamalek's offer for the position of first-team football doctor.
And FilGoal.com had revealed that Haged El-Antably was among the most prominent candidates for the position of Zamalek team doctor.
A source from Zamalek revealed to FilGoal.com "Haged El-Antably, the doctor of Egypt's youth national team, submitted his apology for not accepting Zamalek's offer".
He explained, "El-Antably informed us of the medical committee's insistence within the Football Association, headed by Mohamed Abu El-Ela, on keeping the medical staff unchanged".
Zamalek is seeking to appoint a doctor for the first team after the departure of Spaniard Gerard Oso Manzanet, who took charge following the departure of Mohamed Osama.
El-Antably has worked in various categories of the Egyptian national football team and accompanied many coaches such as Mahmoud Jaber, Wael Riyad, Hussein Abdel Latif, and Moamen Soliman.
El-Antably was present with Brazilian Rogerio Micale when he was coach of the Olympic team, and is currently with Egypt's youth national team under the leadership of Wael Riyad.
He had previously joined the medical staff of New Zealand's Auckland City team temporarily before facing Pyramids last year in the Intercontinental Cup.
Zamalek Club is making several changes to its technical staff in preparation for the new season.
Zamalek players have begun a closed training camp at one of the hotels in the New Administrative Capital, as part of the first phase of the team's preparations for the start of the new season's competitions.
