Esho renewed his contract with Zamalek after it was supposed to end at the end of the previous season.
A source from Zamalek revealed to FilGoal the details of Esho's contract renewal crisis: "The football management saw that the financial clauses in Ahmed Abdel Rahim 'Esho''s renewal contracts are exaggerated".
He explained, "Zamalek gave the player the freedom to decide between reducing the financial value or recovering the contracts and moving to another team".
He stressed, "Esho did not miss the medical examination because the medical examination is divided into two installments, and he is part of the second installment scheduled for examination tomorrow, Saturday".
Esho renewed his contract in the presence of John Edward, the sports director who submitted his resignation a few days ago and was accepted by the Zamalek board.
Esho played 38 matches with Zamalek and scored 3 goals in all competitions.

Zamalek had decided to keep Moataz Jamal as technical director of the team.
The Zamalek board also decided to accept the resignation of John Edward, the sports director, with the name of the new sports director for the football sector to be announced soon.
