Real Madrid has settled its final stance regarding the fate of Brazilian Endrick during the current summer transfer window.
According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", Real Madrid has closed the door on Endrick's departure on loan, given coach Jose Mourinho's insistence on keeping him in the squad, and his conviction that he will have an important role in the coming period.
The newspaper indicated that the last hours witnessed intense movements regarding Endrick's future, especially with significant offers from prominent clubs, such as Roma and Aston Villa, to obtain his services on loan, but Real Madrid settled the matter definitively and rejected his departure.
Mourinho relies on the player and believes he will have an influential role, which is the same opinion held by Florentino Perez, who has special appreciation for the Brazilian striker. For his part, Endrick accepts the new challenge.
Endrick will have to compete for playing time at Real Madrid on equal footing with the rest of the players.
Mourinho was decisive about the Brazilian player's situation, seeing him as useful not only for playing in the center forward position, but also for creating danger from the right wing, a role that Endrick excels in, after playing some matches in this position with Palmeiras, and especially with Olympique Lyon under the leadership of coach Paulo Fonseca.
The matches Endrick played during the preparation period for the new season contributed fundamentally to the Portuguese coach's decision.
Real Madrid supports Mourinho's decision to rely on Endrick, as the club attaches great importance to the Brazilian player's situation, for whom it paid 35 million euros fixed two years ago, in addition to 25 million euros potentially as variables, while the total spent by the club on him, between transfer value, commissions, salary, and bonuses, exceeded 80 million euros.
However, Endrick does not completely abandon the idea of looking for an opportunity to play outside Real Madrid in the future, if he cannot get the playing time he seeks with the team.
Endrick's loan to Olympique Lyon last season proved to be a very positive experience for him, after scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists in 21 matches, which gave him the opportunity to be with the Brazilian national team at the World Cup.
The player wants to capitalize on this momentum to secure his place at Real Madrid, and he is very confident in his ability to achieve that, but he does not rule out the possibility of agreeing on his loan during the upcoming winter transfer window.
Before Mourinho stopped Endrick's departure, two clubs had made progress in negotiations with the player and Real Madrid regarding his loan, namely Roma and Aston Villa under Unai Emery.
Roma seemed the better option for the player, due to the team's participation in the Champions League, as well as having great opportunities to be a regular starter.
Now, Endrick accepts the challenge posed by Mourinho, and will fight to continue his development with Real Madrid, which is the biggest dream in his life.
