Algerian professional Abdelrahim Daghmoum, player of Al-Masry Port Said, is close to leaving the coastal club's ranks during the ongoing summer transfer window, amid interest from Algerian clubs.
The 27-year-old has played for Al-Masry Port Said since 2022, after transferring from Algerian side WA Sétif, where he signed a contract at the time that ran until summer 2025, before it was renewed for three seasons.
"Yalla Koura" has learned that there is a tendency within Al-Masry's corridors to approve Abdelrahim Daghmoum's departure this summer, especially since the player has only one season left on his contract and can sign for any club once he enters the free-agent period.
MC Alger is the most prominent and closest to securing Daghmoum's services this summer, as it intensifies negotiations to sign the player, according to what "Yalla Koura" learned from private sources.
Earlier press reports revealed a desire from WA Sétif's management to bring the player back to its ranks again, but MC Alger intervened in the race to sign him.
Daghmoum has participated in 110 matches with Al-Masry Port Said, scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists across various local and continental competitions.
Daghmoum contributed to Al-Masry Port Said winning the League Cup title last season after defeating ENPPI 3-0.
The Algerian professional had previously been linked with a move to Al Ahly during the current summer transfer window, but the deal did not materialize, so the player continues his career with the "Green Eagle."
