A source at Zamalek Club revealed the truth about an alleged crisis within the White Fortress concerning the goalkeeper position among the trio of Mehdi Soliman, Mohamed Awad, and Mohamed Sobhi, noting that goalkeeping coach Ayman Taher assured all three that opportunities are available for everyone to participate throughout the current 2026-2027 season.
A Zamalek source stated in exclusive remarks to Lela Kora: "Ayman Taher, Zamalek's goalkeeping coach, held a meeting with Awad, Sobhi, and Mehdi Soliman, assuring them that the season is still long and relying on a first-choice goalkeeper does not mean excluding others from consideration."
He clarified: "Taher urged the goalkeepers to focus, exert maximum effort during training, and avoid objection or deviation from instructions."
He added: "The goalkeepers understood their coach's message, especially given Zamalek's participation in multiple tournaments, and everyone will receive their opportunity."
He concluded: "There are no crises among the goalkeepers; their relationship is excellent, and none of them has committed errors or deviated from instructions in recent days."
