A source inside Zamalek Club revealed the truth about signing a memorandum of understanding with a Colombian company to build a stadium for the club, clarifying that the matter was related to building the new branch in a previous period.
A source inside Zamalek Club told Laila Koura: "There is no truth to what was circulated regarding the signing of a memorandum of understanding to establish the club's new branch in 6th of October City".
He added: "Communication with the Colombian company began in August 2025, before the withdrawal of the club's previous land, and the negotiations were only about building a stadium for Zamalek, not a new branch for the club".
He added: "A memorandum of understanding was signed that includes a vision and a preliminary engineering plan for the project. The file has nothing to do with Zamalek's new land in October Gardens".
He continued: "The project has been halted for about a year, and there are no new developments".
He concluded: "The board of directors' focus is currently on implementing the new Zamalek branch project in October Gardens according to the agreed timeline".
