Moroccan left-back Youssef Belamri, Al Ahly player, suffered a strong injury during the team's friendly match against Spanish Badalona, which was held this evening.
A source inside Al Ahly club revealed that the medical staff of Al Ahly club went with the player to the local hospital in that town, but it did not have the necessary equipment for him to undergo an MRI.
The source added in statements to Yalla Koura that the player then went with the team doctor towards Barcelona city to conduct the necessary examinations in another hospital.
He indicated that the initial diagnosis is a knee sprain, but the player will undergo magnetic resonance imaging to confirm the extent and details of the injury, before setting a treatment program and determining the duration of his absence from the fields.
Al Ahly had won friendly against Badalona Spanish, with three goals without reply, scored by: Ali Mahmoud, Oktay Abdullah and Ahmed Sayed Zizo.
