A source from Zamalek revealed that the team's technical staff, led by Moataz Gamal, has decided to field Mohamed Sobhi in the starting lineup for the match against Port of Djibouti.
Zamalek will face Port shortly in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
A Zamalek source told FilGoal.com : "Mohamed Sobhi will guard the team's goal against Port of Djibouti."
He added, "The technical staff decided to rest Mehdi Soliman, especially since the match is in the Champions League preliminary round, providing a good opportunity for Sobhi to participate."
Mehdi Soliman played all three of Zamalek's league matches so far in their entirety.
Both the first and second legs against Port of Djibouti will be held at Cairo Stadium.
The winner of the Zamalek vs. Port tie will face the winner of the matches between Congolese Eagles and Rwandan Army in the Round of 32.
