FIFA, the International Federation of Association Football, announced a two-window registration ban on Zamalek.
A source from Zamalek revealed to FilGoal.com: "There is no truth to the rumors circulating in recent hours about the board of directors approving the sale of Juan Bezzera for an agreed financial amount; these news items do not reflect the reality of the situation."
He added, "Zamalek's position is firm and will not change; the player's contract is extended for three seasons, and any other claims aim to undermine the team's stability."
The source clarified, "Zamalek has officially announced the closure of negotiations regarding Bezzera's transfer, and this decision remains unchanged."
The source concluded his statements, "We call on media outlets to report accurate information and refrain from publishing news that does not reflect the truth at all. The club's management operates within an official and legal framework that preserves the club's rights in the Bezzera file."
Zamalek received a new ruling imposing a two-window registration ban due to a new installment owed to the Ukrainian club Oleksandria concerning the Juan Bezzera transfer deal, valued at 200,000 euros.
Previously, on August 3, FIFA's website had removed the two cases involving the Ukrainian club Oleksandria from Zamalek's pending cases.
These two cases pertained to the dues owed to the Ukrainian club from the value of Juan Bezzera's transfer to Zamalek.
The Oleksandria cases were the final ones related to the African license.
Zamalek had previously announced the resolution of all cases concerning the African license during the recent period, which was subsequently confirmed by FIFA.
The number of registration ban cases against Zamalek has currently decreased to only three cases, one of which is a disciplinary ban that cannot be lifted even upon payment; this is the case concerning Salah Mosaddek, a former player of the team.
Zamalek is preparing to participate in the new 2026/2027 season, during which the White Knights will compete in the league, the CAF Champions League, the Egypt Cup, and the Egyptian Super Cup.
