An Al Ahly source told FilGoal.com: "Imam Ashour's physical condition has improved, his chances of being included in the squad for the match against El Mokawloon have increased, and he is likely to feature in the upcoming game."
Imam Ashour missed Al Ahly's first three league matches due to not being physically ready following his recovery from injury.
Al Ahly will face El Mokawloon Arab in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League next Wednesday.
Al Ahly won their first three league matches against Sharqia, ENPPI, ZED, and Smouha.
Al Ahly announced a few weeks ago that they had renewed Imam Ashour's contract with the club until 2030.
