Rumors circulated about Al Ahly's desire to sign Tarek Alaa this summer.
A source close to the player told FilGoal.com:"Essam Sarraj, Al Ahly's contracting director, contacted Tarek Alaa to inquire about his opinion on joining the team. The player expressed his welcome and asked to contact ZED club".
He added, "Tarek Alaa puts participation and getting playing time among his priorities in his future plans, due to his desire to maintain his presence in the Egypt national team".
Tarek Alaa was included in the Egypt national team squad for the 2026 World Cup but did not participate in any minutes.
Tarek Alaa spent the second half of last season on loan from Pyramids to ZED with a purchase option clause.
ZED club activated the purchase option clause to permanently sign Tarek Alaa.
