Al-Ahly's first football team managed to secure a victory over Delfi with a score of 2-1 in a friendly match, ahead of their upcoming encounter with Smouha in the Egyptian Premier League.
Previously, Al-Ahly achieved a valuable 2-0 win against ZED FC last Friday evening in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League at Cairo International Stadium.
Al-Ahly Defeats Delfi 2-0 in Friendly Match
Hussein Ammouta, Al-Ahly's head coach, ensured the participation of all players who did not feature in yesterday's match against ZED FC, as well as those who came off the bench, to enhance their technical and physical readiness.
The friendly match between Al-Ahly and Delfi kicked off at 10:00 AM, with a positive draw (1-1) dominating the game until the final five minutes.
Midfielder Imam Ashour participated in the full 90 minutes of the friendly against Delfi and assisted the first goal scored by Moroccan player Sofiane Benjdida.
Young striker Aqtay Abdullah scored the second goal, continuing to establish himself within coach Hussein Ammouta's plans.
Midfielder Akram Tawfik played the second half of the friendly match between Al-Ahly and Delfi, while the Moroccan duo Ashraf Dari and Reda Slim also featured and delivered strong performances.
Regarding goalkeeping, Hussein Ammouta fielded Mohamed El Shenawy during the first half, while Hamza Alaa played the second half.
Al-Ahly will face Smouha next Thursday in the third round of the Egyptian Premier League at the Alexandrian team's stadium.
Al-Ahly conducted their collective training sessions without rest to boost the technical and physical readiness levels of all players, especially given the intense match schedule facing the team at the start of the current season.
