Al-Ahli Jeddah Club announced the signing of French player Ibrahima Diaby from Belgian club Cercle Brugge.

The defensive midfielder's contract with Al-Ahli will span four seasons.

In its statement, the club revealed that "Diaby is 19 years old, born in 2007, and progressed through the youth ranks at the Paris Saint-Germain Academy, where he captained several of the club's youth teams, indicating his leadership qualities and technical potential from an early age."

Reports indicated that the transfer deal is worth €13.5 million, including incentives and bonuses.

Diaby progressed through the Paris Saint-Germain Academy before signing a professional contract with Belgian club Cercle Brugge last summer.

Diaby played 32 matches for Cercle Brugge across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

The Asian champions over the last two seasons have signed Francisco Trincão, Eduard Sebertsian, Aboubacar Sidi Kinyetta, Naif Masoud, Artem Bondarenko, Abdullah Radif, and Meshal Al-Mutairi.
