Zamalek fell into the trap of defeat against their counterparts Eastern Company ENPPI, losing 2-1 in a friendly match held this evening. However, the White Knights emerged with several gains as part of their preparations for the anticipated summit clash against their traditional rivals Al Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League.

Today's match saw Tunisian winger Ahmed El Jafali make his first appearance for the White Knight during the current season, following his return from a loan spell at Saudi club Abha.

El Jafali had previously played only three matches wearing the white jersey before suffering an injury against ENPPI, which kept him off the pitches for a long period and deprived him of appearing with the White Castle.

The readiness of winger Ahmed Abdel Rahim "Isho" was also confirmed following his return from an injury sustained in the CAF Champions League while playing for the White Knight.

Isho started in the friendly match and scored Zamalek's only goal with individual skill.

Coach Ma'tam Gamal fielded midfielder Saif Gafer as a starter for the second consecutive friendly match, after his participation against Modern Sport.

Saif Gafer recently joined group training sessions after missing the White Team's matches at the beginning of the season, but he has returned to the calculations of his coach Ma'tam Gamal, who wishes to utilize all available elements in Zamalek's squad, especially in midfield.

Ma'tam made several adjustments to the midfield since the start of the season, featuring Mohamed Shehata, Abdullah El-Said, Ahmed Rabie, Mahmoud Hossam, and Adam Kaddour.
