Al-Ahly's first football team, under the leadership of Moroccan coach Hussein Amouta, has achieved its objectives so far after three rounds of the Egyptian Premier League.

Under coach Hussein Amouta, Al-Ahly secured three victories in the Premier League: the first against Sharqia Enppi (3-2), the second against ZED (2-0), and the third against Smouha (1-0) with great difficulty.

Al-Ahly under Amouta's leadership

Al-Ahly managed to secure three victories this season. Although the performance was unsatisfactory for a segment of the fans during these matches, the desired results were achieved in this phase where the coach is still getting to know his players.

A total of 20 players from Al-Ahly's squad selected for the current season participated alongside Hussein Amouta during the matches against Sharqia Enppi, ZED, and Smouha, while 14 players have yet to make an appearance.

A large number of players are awaiting their official debut under Hussein Amouta, most notably Imam Ashour, Mohamed El Shenawy, Achraf Dari, and Reda Sayem, along with a group of newcomers from the 2005 age-group team.

Hussein Amouta addressed the reason for Imam Ashour's absence during the press conference following the Smouha match, indicating that the player needs more participation in team training sessions to reach the appropriate rhythm, a approach seemingly being followed with other players as well.

Amouta commented, saying: "Imam Ashour needs more participation in team training sessions to reach the appropriate physical rhythm after a long period of absence from training due to his injury at the World Cup."
