Egyptian Premier League fans miss many distinguished players in the new 2026-2027 season.

The Premier League is witnessing major changes at the club squad level in the new season, after the competition lost a number of influential names that made a difference during the past years.

The reasons for these players' absence from the Premier League in the new season varied, between undergoing professional experiences abroad, the expiration of some of their contracts, or moving to other clubs outside the local competition.

Perhaps one of the most prominent of these names is Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, who left Al-Ahly after one season he spent in the Egyptian League following a 10-year professional journey.

There is also the Tunisian Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane who completed his agreement with Qatari Al-Shamal after one season with Al-Ahly.

The Malian Aliou Dieng joined Spanish Valencia after the end of his contract with Al-Ahly, while Hossam Abdel-Maguid left Zamalek's ranks for Bulgarian Ludogorets.

The Tunisian Seifeddine Jaziri terminated his contract by mutual consent with Zamalek and is expected to leave the Egyptian League and may return to his country again.

And the historical top scorer of Pyramids Fiston Mayele left for the ranks of Libyan Ahli Tripoli.
