With this win, Al-Ahly raised their tally to 9 points, placing them second in the Egyptian Premier League standings, tied with Pyramids FC who occupy first place.
The Clubs League revealed that Yasser Ibrahim, Al-Ahly's defender, was chosen as the Man of the Match for the game between Al-Ahly and Smouha, following his strong performance during the match and scoring Al-Ahly's winning goal.
