Reports have revealed the initial diagnosis of the injury sustained by young Belgian player Joesse Bissouwa, FC Barcelona’s new signing, which occurred yesterday, Wednesday.
Barcelona B played a strong match against Sabadell in the final of the Catalan Cup yesterday, Wednesday, marking the first match of the new season for the young Catalan team.
Joesse Bissouwa was forced to leave the Catalan Cup final after the young Belgian winger suffered an injury to his left ankle following a heavy challenge from an opposing player, (click here for details).
The winger joined Barcelona B to participate in the first match of the season to continue his adaptation process with the Barcelona reserve team. The match against Sabadell was only his second appearance with the team, following his recent debut under the management of Julià Pellitero.
According to the Catalan newspaper “Sport,” Bissouwa does not appear to have suffered an ankle fracture, a possibility that Barcelona initially ruled out after the first examination.
The final diagnosis of Bissouwa’s injury is expected to be revealed in the coming hours on Thursday, to more accurately determine the extent of the injury.
The Catalan newspaper clarified that the injury sustained by Bissouwa caused great disappointment among Barcelona fans and concern over the possibility of a long absence.
