German club RB Leipzig announced the signing of Spanish striker Marc Guiu from English side Chelsea on a contract running until 2031.
The 20-year-old young striker played 29 official matches for Chelsea, scoring 8 goals, and won both the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Marc Guiu progressed through FC Barcelona's academy and made his first official appearance for the Catalan club's senior team in October 2023 at the age of 17.
He joined Chelsea in the summer of 2024, and over two seasons with the Blues, Marc featured in 29 official matches and scored 8 goals.
The player stated, "Joining Leipzig is the perfect step for me. The club made a significant effort to sign me, and during our discussions, they clearly explained the role I can play within the team."
He added, "Leipzig has repeatedly proven that young players can develop here at the highest levels. Moreover, the club is ambitious and strives to achieve top results in all competitions, and I want to contribute to reaching these goals while continuing to improve day by day."
