Nice suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat against Paris FC today in the second round of the French League.

Today's match saw Mohamed Abd El-Moneim start for Nice, marking the Egyptian international's return to the starting lineup after more than a year of absence due to an ACL injury (details here).

Despite Nice dominating possession and being the better side, Paris managed to capitalize on their opportunities and convert them into goals.

Lassine Sinayoko opened the scoring for Paris in the 21st minute from a penalty kick, before Samir Cherki added the second goal for the home side in the 51st minute.

Vincent Marchetti dashed Nice's hopes of getting back into the game by scoring Paris's third goal in the 89th minute.

Mohamed Abd El-Moneim was unable to save Nice from defeat before being substituted in the 73rd minute, replaced by Antoine Mendy.

With this result, Nice remains with one point in 17th place, second from bottom, while Paris FC raised their tally to 4 points, sitting third in the league standings.

Mohamed Abd El-Moneim had previously appeared as a substitute for Nice against Lorient in last week's first round of the French League, playing the second half of the match.
