Zamalek Club continues its efforts to resolve the crisis surrounding the absence of its Brazilian player, Juan Bezerra, who has refused to return to Cairo and rejoin team training, citing his desire to leave the White Castle.
A source at Zamalek told Yalla Kora: "Contact was made in recent hours between club officials and Juan Bezerra's lawyer, with the club insisting on the necessity of the player's return to Cairo and resumption of training."
He added: "Bezerra's lawyer has become convinced of the need for the player's return and has begun persuading him that there is no solution other than returning to Zamalek first, then attempting to negotiate with the club regarding his departure."
He clarified: "The player's lawyer requested from Zamalek a formal written commitment allowing Bezerra to depart either during the current summer transfer window or next January, based on his own wishes."
He continued: "Zamalek has paid the player's salary through the end of August to avoid him filing a complaint with FIFA, while September's salary will only be disbursed after his return to Cairo."
He concluded: "Bezerra is expected to face an investigation immediately upon his return, with disciplinary action imposed according to club regulations. Zamalek officials believe the player will return to Cairo during the upcoming month of September."
