Celtic's two goals came in the 4th and 29th minutes of the first half, both scored by Camilo Duran, while Falkirk's only consolation goal was an own goal by Donovan in the 72nd minute.
Haitham Hassan supported his team Celtic from the start of the match before being substituted in the 63rd minute of the second half.
Celtic had previously exited the UEFA Champions League playoff rounds after a heavy defeat against Austrian side LASK, and will participate in the Europa League this season.
